Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi
Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be received by our friendly staff and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Accommodation at Aura Safaris and Mission Tours has been handpicked to ensure that our guests get the best experience and a taste of Kenya’s culture and hospitality after a long flight.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, you will be met by a guide for a pre-safari brief. Transfer to the Wilson Airport for your flight to the Samburu National reserve with a scenic aerial sighting enroute. On arrival at Samburu, you will be received by our ground team and transferred to your hotel for lunch and an afternoon rest. Your first game drive starting is at 1600 hrs before returning to the Samburu Larsens Camp at 1830 hrs for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 & 4: Samburu National Reserve
Wake up call at 0530 hrs gets you ready for early morning breakfast. Venture out in search of the big cats of Samburu and other wild species before returning to the lodge for full breakfast at 0900 hrs. The rest of the day is at leisure and refreshing as you get ready for your evening game drive. Your evening game drive begins at 1600 hrs before returning back to the Samburu Larsens Camp at approximately 1845 hrs for dinner and overnight stay. The Samburu Reserve is one of the most visited national parks with plenty of wildlife ranging from the rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk to the Beisa Oryx (also known as the Samburu Special Five).
Day 5: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Your last day at Samburu begins with an early morning game drive before returning to your camp for breakfast and checkout. Depart for the nearby Ol Pejeta Conservancy arriving at the Sweet Waters Serena Tented Camp in time for lunch and afternoon rest. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure and refreshing as you get ready for your early evening game drive. Venture out at 1600 hrs in search of the resident White and Black Rhinos and other game species in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Wild Dogs can be seen from time roaming within the conservancy. Return to the camp at approximately 1900 hrs for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 6: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Early breakfast gets you on an early morning game drive with a picnic bush style breakfast before returning to the camp for lunch. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure and refreshing as you get ready for your early evening game drive. Venture out for your early evening game drive returning to our camp for dinner and overnight at the Sweet Waters Serena Tented Camp. Ol Pejeta is a mosaic of grass plains, wooded grassland, Acacia woodland and evergreen thicket extending to over 350 square kilometers. It boasts of an astounding variety of wild animals such as the non-indigenous chimpanzees and the Big Five. The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plans will guarantee you an unforgettable safari experience.
Day 7 & 8: Lake Turkana
After early breakfast, drive to the nearby Nanyuki Airstrip for your scenic aerial photography flight North. Board your chartered flight scaling the icy caps of Mount Kenya. Descend and fly over the changing colored waters of the Magado Crater. Proceed over the Samburu conservation area, the Ewaso Nyiro river and the towering Ol lolokwe rocky outcrop. Proceed over the Mathews range and Poror ridge before descending into the Suguta valley. Follow the Suguta River photographing the landscape. The ever-changing kaleidoscope of this desert valley is amazing. Within the Valley there are rivers, desert, scrub land, sand dunes, Lakes and rocky outcrops. Proceed to Lake Logipi absorbing the amazing landscape while capturing the shallow alkaline lake and flamingoes inhabiting the seasonal lake. Proceed over the Suguta valley and Lake Turkana barrier with the desert land opening up to a turquoise blue massive Lake that is the Lake Turkana. Fly over the various islands as you proceed towards the Lodge for the Night. You will land at the Desert Rose Airstrip and transfer to the Desert Rose for dinner and a well-deserved overnight stay.

Day 9 & 10: Lake Baringo
You wake up call is at 0600 hrs get you ready for breakfast at 0700 hrs. Depart for the air strip and fly towards the Suguta Valley Desert. Fly back into the desert exploring further as you head towards the Silale Crater and Kapedo rivers. Fly over the Kapedo town heading towards lake Bogoria, known for its geysers and hot springs and huge Flamingo flocks. Landing at the Baringo air strip where you will be picked and transferred to the Tumbili Cliff Lodge for lunch and overnight stay. Your evening game drive is at the nearby Lake Bogoria at 0300 hrs. We spend considerable time here photographing the flamingoes, hot water geysers and hot springs. Return to the camp in the late evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 11,12,13: Masai Mara
You will spend these complete days at the Maasai Mara national reserve. Your typical day revolves around thrilling early morning departure returning for Lunch and venturing out again in the evening for another game drive. This daily programs will depend on the wildlife sighting, migration patterns and the prevailing weather conditions. You will be guided by the safari director in conjunction with the safari guides. Your Wake up call is at 0500 Hrs to freshen up for an early morning breakfast at the lounge. Depart the camp at 0600 hrs for your early morning game drive in search of wildlife with a mid-morning bush picnic breakfast at 1000 hrs. Continue with the game drive headed back to the camp. Make it to the camp at 1130 hrs to rest and have lunch. Early afternoon free is at leisure. Enjoy tea/coffee at 1500 hrs and depart for your evening game drive at 1545 Hrs. head back to the camp at 1900 hrs for dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Nairobi
Enjoy the last day with an early morning game drive in search of the big cats and other game species at 0630.Return to the camp at 0900 hrs for breakfast and refreshing before heading to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to the Hotel Karen Blixen Tamambo for lunch after which you will be transferred to the JKIA for your departing flight.
