5- day Rwanda Exclusive Safari
Your 5 days’ Rwanda experiential safari is one of our most magical and most like safari as it gives a great encounter of the land of a thousand hills. The safari will give you a great chance to do a Kigali City tour where you will visit the Genocide memorial site, do Gorilla Tracking and Golden Monkey trekking at Volcanoes National Park, as well as experience the Rwanda culture summing up your safari with us.
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi
Upon arrival in Kigali International airport you will be received by our friendly staff and transferred to your hotel in Kigali. Accommodation at Aura Safaris and Mission Tours has been handpicked to ensure that our guests get the best experience and a taste of Rwanda’s culture and hospitality after a long flight.

Day 2: Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast at 09.00 am, you will meet with your driver guide at the reception for a briefing of the day before proceeding on Kigali City Tour Experience which includes; Nyamirambo Walking Tour and the Kigali Genocide Memorial before you’re transferred to Volcanoes National Park.

Day 3 : Volcanoes National Park
Today you have a unique and privileged experience to trek and meet at close quarters the rare Mountain Gorilla. There are only around 1063 of these magnificent creatures left in the world with almost 1/2 of those in the Volcanoes National Park.
Early in the morning after breakfast you will be taken to the park headquarters where you will be educated on the trek, Gorilla behavior and assigned in to groups of suitable fitness. The trek can take between 2-6 hours depending on the movements of the Gorillas. This is considered one of the great natural animal encounters on the planet. The rangers will lead you deep into the forest in search for the Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about 1 hour once you find them. Return to your Lodge for a freshen up, lunch and later relax with the Lodge facilities as you wait to have your dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4 : Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast we leave for the Golden Monkey Trek. Golden Monkeys are very rare and nowhere in Africa is there better access to large habituated numbers than in Rwanda. These unique, playful and beautiful creatures will entertain you for a good hour and the trek on average is normally much easier than the Gorilla Trek. Thereafter, return to your Lodge for a freshen up, lunch and later transfer to Iby'iwacu Cultural Village.
Day 5: Kigali
Today, you will drive to Kigali town from Volcanoes National Park. You will visit the genocide museum as well as have a short city Tour of the capital city. You will also visit a local market and get a chance to purchase souvenirs You will depart for the Airport and take your flight back home.
