A guided 10-day Masai Mara photography safari with a unique sighting of the wildebeests, the big cats and other game species. Nighttime is at the select camp The Maasai Mara witnesses an annual spectacular influx of wildebeests and this safari drives you right into the middle of the action. Your departure from Nairobi is a scenic adventure by road through the mesmerizing views of the Great Rift Valley. Our hotel has been carefully selected and is in close proximity to the confluence areas of the Maasai Mara.
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi
Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be received by our friendly staff and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Accommodation at Aura Safaris and Mission Tours has been handpicked to ensure that our guests get the best experience and a taste of Kenya’s culture and hospitality after a long flight.

Day 2: Masai Mara
You will embark on your Kenya safari proceeding north of Nairobi and into the great rift valley with a brief stopover at the view point. The Great Rift Valley is one of the wonders of the world, stretching from the Syria, down through Africa, stretching as far as Mozambique. The mesmerizing view, as you approach from Nairobi, Kenya is breathtaking. The ground suddenly disappears from under you to show the huge expanse of the great rift, stretching into the horizon in either direction. Proceed via the Maasai town of Narok through endless Savannah plains dotted with acacias and finally into the Maasai Mara reserve in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. You will have an evening game drive starting at 1600 Hrs. in search of the big cats of the Mara.

Day 3 to 9 : Masai Mara
Your 7 days photography adventure at the Maasai Mara starts here. Our safari guide will walk you through to help you get the most out of every safari. Early morning wake up call at 0500 hrs gets you ready for some coffee or tea served with biscuits before venturing out for the Safari. Depart the camp at 0600 hrs in search of the big cats and other game species. This will always be determined by the wildlife migration patterns and prevailing weather conditions. There will be a bush picnic breakfast at 1000 hrs to spice up the adventure. Continue with the game drive before returning to the camp at 1100 hrs for rest and lunch. Venture out for the early evening game drive at 1530 hrs returning to the camp at 1900 hrs for dinner and your overnight stay at the Mara Crossing Camp. The will be a scheduled pre-safari meeting with our Safari director to plan for the next day’s safari. ABOUT THE CAMP: An eco-friendly luxury tented camp, the Mara Crossings Camp is uniquely located on the banks of the scenic Mara River. The camp’s lies among indigenous shrubs, in the thick of the resident game, making it a perfect vantage point for the crossing points of the wildebeest migration. Well marked animal trails meander between the 8 spacious, ensuite tents with a perfect scenic view to dream the afternoon away. It is ideally located in the famous Musiara region teeming with wildebeest and the carnivorous predators. Its close proximity to the various wildebeest’s fording points offers unique sighting of the annual spectacle along the Serengeti – Mara ecosystem.
Day 10: Nairobi
Enjoy the last day with an early morning game drive in search of the big cats and other game species at 0630.Return to the camp at 0900 hrs for breakfast and refreshing before heading to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to the Hotel Karen Blixen Tamambo for lunch after which you will be transferred to the JKIA for your departing flight.
