5-Day Kidepo Valley Safari
Enjoy the spectacular scenery on memorable game drives or wildlife walks with herds of Buffalo, Zebras and the famous tree climbing lions, as you explore the Savannah vegetation of Kidepo Valley National Park. The meandering river beds that form artistic patterns add to the beauty and landscape of the National Park. Afterwards, you can either relax in your outdoor bathtub under the stars or enjoy the breathtaking views of the landscape scattered with wildlife. Take a dip in the big rock swimming pool overlooking the Savannah and a waterhole frequently visited by animals.
The park has a true wilderness feel and is a spectacular destination for wildlife enthusiasts.
Itinerary
Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala
Upon arrival in Entebbe you will be received by our friendly staff and transferred to your hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe. Accommodation at Aura Safaris and Mission Tours has been handpicked to ensure that our guests get the best experience and a taste of Uganda’s culture and hospitality after a long flight.

Accommodation: Entebbe - dinner and 1 night
Day 2: Kidepo Valley National Park
After your breakfast you will be transferred to Entebbe airport for your scheduled flight to Kidepo National Park. You will be met by our staff at the airstrip. The drive to the lodge takes only 5 minutes, where you will Arrive in time for a late lunch.
In the evening you will be taken for a game drive, where you get to experience the sun set.
*Optional 9 hour and 30 mins road trip to Kidepo valley in our Custom-made Safari vehicles
Accommodation: Karamoja - 3 night and all meals
Day 3: Kidepo Valley National Park
You will take a game drive or walking safari along a sandy dry riverbed fringed with palm trees, where you will get to climb to the top of a rocky outcrop and take in the views. Move slowly along isolated tracks to look for signs of the animals. You may take a walk to track the lions, or even cheetahs. You will always be surrounded by Zebras, Waterbucks, Jackson’s Hartebeests, Warthogs, monkeys and Buffalos.

Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park
Have a relaxed breakfast and then enjoy the whole morning traversing the vast plains and semi-arid Savannah of North Eastern Uganda. The park is renowned for its exceptional variety of birds of prey. While there, it is likely that you can spot Ostriches, Kori Bustards, Pygmy Falcons, Verreaux’s Eagles, Egyptian Vultures, Abyssinian ground Hornbills among others.
In the afternoon you will be taken to visit one of the communities, of the karamojong. Get an insight of their daily lives, the way their homes are constructed and much more. You will meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them as they show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items used by them.

Day 5: Entebbe
Take a guided walk this morning to check out the plant life, the birds and the wild animals in the park on foot. Back at the lodge, have an early lunch before your onward flight back to Entebbe.
