Bird watching Excursion
Mabira forest boasts of 315 species of birds including the rare ones like the Nahan's francolin, Tit Hylia, Yellow and grey longbills, Purple-throated cuckoo shrikes, Illadopsises, Jameson's wattle eyes. 46% of Uganda's forest birds can easily be seen in Mabira than any other forest in Uganda. The forest is surrounded by cultivation both at subsistence level and commercial; Sugarcane and tea plantations.

Ssezibwa Falls (60 mins )
Ssezibwa Falls is 45 minutes drive from Kampala and is located on Jinja Road after Mukono town. Ssezibwa Falls have long been a favourite of the kings of Buganda. Legends have it that the river was born of a woman attracts many locals who seek for blessings from its waters. The falls magnificent flowing rivers and breath taking scenery is wonderful place to visit.

Mabira Forest
On arrival we shall meet up with a trained resident bird guide, who shall take you through one of the community trails in the forest that offers great birding opportunities. For those interested in in specific bird spieces the experienced guide is more than happy to help achieve your goal. The birding trails in the forest have been well maintained making it easy to walk through and bird along both the foot paths and wider village roads.
