Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala

Upon arrival in Entebbe you will be received by our friendly staff and transferred to your hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe. Accommodation at Aura Safaris and Mission Tours has been handpicked to ensure that our guests get the best experience and a taste of Uganda’s culture and hospitality after a long flight.

Accommodation: Entebbe - dinner and 1 night 

Day 2: Kibale National Park

After morning breakfast at, you will be picked from your hotel and transferred to Fort Portal that is close to close to Kibale National Park. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery en-route through villages, lush green forests and hills dotted with tea plantations. On arrival you will check in to your accommodation and relax after 5 hour drive.

Accommodation: Fort Portal- 2 night and all meals 

Day 3: Kibale National Park

You will be transferred to Kibale National park headquarters after breakfast for a briefing ahead of the chimpanzee tracking.You will then embark on primates viewing in the forest spending half a day searching for chimpazees and other primates including Phoestes, Red-Colobus, Blue, Red-tailed and Grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects.

Kibale Forest National park boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including the chimpanzees with approximately 5,000 chimpanzees living in the wild in Uganda.

After lunch, a visit to Bigodi swamp eco tourism site in which you will also encounter beautiful flora and fauna. This walk is excellent for viewing different bird species like the Great blue Turacco, Rwenzori Turaco, Narina Trogon, and little Bulbul.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park after your breakfast, which is a home to a high concentration of Uganda’s mammals that include tree climbing and savanna lions, elephants, wart hogs, Uganda kob, water buck, cape buffalo, hippos, leopards, as well as more than 600 species of birds that include the African spoon bill, pied kingfishers, fish eagles, pelicans, vultures

You arrive at your Accommodation in time for Lunch. After relaxing you will go for evening drive in the park where you will see a number of animals and bird species.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, you will catch up with the early risers as your driver takes you for the morning game drive. It is an amazing experience to have great chances of spotting wild animals like; Buffalo, Uganda kob (Uganda national antelope), Elephants, Hippos, Lions, Leopards, water bucks, warthogs and many other wild animals.

After that excellent drive, you will return to your lodge for relaxation. After lunch, you will go for an amazing launch cruise on Kazinga Channel where you will have exciting and unforgettable memories. There also a water sail which provide a magnificent platform for photography taking and across the board game viewing. As you disembark from the boat cruise, you will be met your guide for the drive back to the hotel for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After a relaxed Breakfast, Embark on your journey to the famous Bwindi impenetrable National Park. Enjoy the scenic drive, passing through various local villages and the lush green countryside & hills which characterise so much of south western Uganda. Once you are in the forest park, it is one of the richest ecosystems in Africa and the diversity of species is a feature of the park. It provides habitat for some 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos and many endangered species.

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After your breakfast, along with your packed lunch, you will report to the park premises for registration by 8:00am, and be briefed by Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guides. Begin your gorilla trek with experienced guides and trackers who will willingly share with you a lot of information about the history and routine of the Gorillas. The search for these majestic animals will take you through a thick untamed rainforest, where you'll be scrambling through deep undergrowth and climbing over mossy rocks, however the encounter is worth the effort. Watching gorillas in their natural habitat is a memory that will last a lifetime.

 *Optional evening visit to the Batwa communities and get to learn about their culture and traditions.

Day 8: Kampala/Entebbe 

Have a relaxed breakfast at the accommodation with a spectacular view from the lodge. Then begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe as you view beautiful scenery along the way. You will have lunch en route and Stopover at the Equator where you can take Photographs. Thereafter proceed to Entebbe for your onward flight.
