11- Day Murchison, Kibale Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Safari

Enjoy guided game walks with endangered white Rhinos in Ziwa sanctuary.  Visit Murchison Falls National park where the Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop. Visit the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, track chimpanzees in both Kibale Forest National Park and enjoy game drives and cruises in Queen Elizabeth National Park with its wide range of wildlife, including the famous tree climbing lions. Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala

Upon arrival in Entebbe you will be received by our friendly staff and transferred to your hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe. Accommodation at Aura Safaris and Mission Tours has been handpicked to ensure that our guests get the best experience and a taste of Uganda’s culture and hospitality after a long flight.

Accommodation: Entebbe - dinner and 1 night 

Day 2: Murchision Falls National Park

After morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked from your hotel and transferred to Murchison Falls National Park Uganda’s biggest natural reserve. The park is a habitat for big 4 game including elephants, buffaloes, lions and leopards. Enroute to Murchison falls you will have a stopover for about 2 to 3 hours at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the sanctuary brings you up close with the endangered white rhinos. Continue with your journey to Murchison falls. Upon arrival at the park late afternoon, you will connect to your lodge for relaxation and enjoy the sunset.

Day 3: Murchsion National Park

After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will go for a morning game drive, and a ranger with extensive knowledge of the park will join you in your vehicle. On the drive you will be able to view a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, Uganda kobs, Rothschild giraffes, and oribis. As this is a private game drive you can ask your guide to tailor your trip towards specific birdlife and/or wildlife if you like. After the drive you will return to your lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon you will proceed for a cruise along the Nile which will give you a view of Murchison Falls, which is a highlight of the day. On this private 3-hour journey you will pass by breathtaking scenery, as well as crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys and others that come down to the Nile. For your comfort, complimentary drinks will be served on-board. The boat will drop you near the waterfall for your hike up to the top of the falls. After which you will meet your driver who will transfer you back to your lodge

Day 4: Kibale National Park

After having a relaxed breakfast, you will take a 6 hour journey to the Kibale National Park. The journey will take you through stunning landscapes. The hills and mountains you drive through are green and pristine. You will also pass the tea plantations of Fort Portal. On arrival you will check into you accommodation and enjoy the sunset.

Day 5: Kibale National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to the rangers office in the park for a short briefing. Then you will embark on a walk through the rain forest in search of Chimpanzees with trained rangers. 

After lunch there is a nature walk planned through the marsh. During this walk you will spot many different birds and perhaps some monkeys. Most common are the red colobus and vervet monkeys.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today you leave the rain forest behind and head for Queen Elizabeth National Park, along the Rwenzori mountains that border's Congo. After a two and half hour drive you will arrive at the park. The ride to the accommodation already gives you a great chance to spot wildlife.

In the late afternoon you will do a short game drive.This spectacular national park is full of game and it is known for its large elephant population.

Accommodation: Queen Elizabeth - 3 night and all meals 

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, you will catch up with the early risers as your driver takes you for the morning game drive. It is an amazing experience as you have a great chance of spotting wild animals like; Buffalo, Uganda kob, Elephants, Hippos, Lions, Leopards, water bucks, warthogs and many other wild animals.

After that excellent drive, you will return to your lodge for relaxation.

After lunch, you will go for an amazing launch cruise on Kazinga Channel where you will have an exciting and unforgettable experience. You shall also be able to see animals like hippos and lots of crocodiles and numerous bird spieces. As you disembark from the boat cruise, you will be met your guide for the drive back to the hotel for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early morning breakfast, prepare for a transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park found in the southern end of the conservation area. This woodland sector is famous for its tree climbing lions. On arrival you will check in to your lodge and have lunch.

In the afternoon enjoy a game drive in search of unmatched prides of tree climbing lions offering a fascinating experience. You will later return to your lodge for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Bwindi impenetrable  National Park

After a relaxed Breakfast, Embark on your journey to the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy the scenic drive, passing through various local villages and the lush green countryside & hills which characterise so much of south western Uganda. Once you are in the forest park, it is one of the richest ecosystems in Africa, and the diversity of species is a feature of the park. It provides habitat for some 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos and many endangered species.

Day 10: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After your breakfast, along with your packed lunch, you will report to the park premises for registration by 8:00am, and be briefed by Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guides. Begin your gorilla trek with experienced guides and trackers who will willingly share with you a lot of information about the history and routine of the Gorillas. The search for these majestic animals will take you through a thick untamed rainforest, where you'll be scrambling through deep undergrowth and climbing over mossy rocks, however the encounter is worth the effort. Watching gorillas in their natural habitat is a memory that will last a lifetime.

 *Optional evening visit to the Batwa communities and get to learn about their culture and traditions.

Day 11: Kampala /Entebbe 

Have a relaxed breakfast at the accommodation with a spectacular view from the lodge. Then begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe as you view beautiful scenery along the way. You will have lunch en route and Stopover at the Equator where you can take Photographs. Thereafter proceed to Entebbe for your onward flight.
